Is being a Hammer Girl a full-time job?
No, most Hammer Girls hold part-time or full-time jobs or attend college.
Can a Hammer Girl be a mother?
Yes.
Are there any height & weight requirements?
Candidates should look well proportioned in dancewear. We DO NOT have specific height and weight requirements; however, a lean figure is demanded by the Hammer Girl outfits.
Are there any age requirements?
Candidates must be at least 18 at the time of the preliminary tryouts. However, some of the preliminary tryouts are held at venues where the minimum age to enter is 21.
If I am currently a high school senior, but will not graduate until June, can I still tryout and be selected as a Hammer Girl?
Yes, if you meet the minimum age requirements of 18 by the date of the preliminary tryouts and can participate in all rehearsals and activities.
What should I wear to tryouts?
Candidates should wear:
- 2-piece attire:
Top: Dance / Athletic Bra Top (No Tank Tops)
Bottom: Hot Pants (No Bike Shorts) - Any type of dance shoes
What do I need to bring to the preliminary tryouts?
Candidates should bring:
- Drivers license or passport for identification
- Personal items: make up, brush, etc.
- High heel shoes
What does it take to become a Hammer Girl?
Our judges will focus on the following:
- Dance Technique
- Enthusiasm
- Poise
- Showmanship
- Personal Appearance
- Figure
- Personality
- Energy
- Flexibility
How should I wear my make-up?
Candidates should wear shades that complement their natural beauty.
How should I wear my hair?
Candidates should sport a current hairstyle that complements their features. Candidates should make sure their hair does not hide their face.
How will I know if my registration was successful?
Candidates who register online should see a success message after the registration form is successfully processed. If this message does not appear, try to register again without uploading any images.
What is the tryout process?
Tryouts are a multi-step process beginning with the registration, preliminary tryouts, personal interview, and final tryouts.
Registration
Candidates can pre-register online or can register at the door on the day of the preliminary tryouts. Space is limited at each of the preliminary tryouts and spots will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. So we highly recommend that candidates pre-register. Candidates who choose to register on the day of the event are encouraged to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the start time of the tryouts.
Preliminary Tryouts
Candidates will perform “freestyle” dance moves individually or in small groups for the judging panel. Candidates will then showcase their round card display skills while wearing high heel shoes. At the end of the preliminary tryouts, the judges’ selections will be announced.
Finals
Personal Interview:
Candidates will participate in an interactive interview at Hammer Training & Fitness with selected judges from the judging panel. Candidates will be asked questions about their interests and their general knowledge of Hammer Training & Fitness, Team Hammer, Martial Arts, Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), Kickboxing, and Boxing.
Final Tryouts:
Individually or in small groups, candidates will perform a dance combination taught at the beginning of the final tryouts. Candidates will then showcase their round card display skills while wearing high heel shoes.
Hammer Girls will be announced prior to the fight event at the grand opening ceremony of Hammer Training & Fitness. The selected Hammer Girls will be performing as the card girls for the fight event.
What type of time commitment is required if chosen for a Hammer Girl?
Total commitment is required. A Hammer Girl’s schedule can be very busy.

- Fan Mail
- Social Networking
- Performances
- Media Interviews
Can my friends and family watch auditions?
Yes. The auditions are open to the public. However, auditions held at certain bar locations are limited to spectators 21 years and older. Candidates are encouraged to invite their friends and family to cheer them on during the competition.
