The Grappling program is a submission wrestling based program that utilizes gi and no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) moves and submissions along with the takedowns and positional techniques of Greco-Roman Wrestling, Folk Wrestling, and Freestyle Wrestling. The Grappling program provides a balance of conditioning, instructional techniques, and free roll time. With dedication, the Grappling classes at Hammer Training & Fitness will give the non-wrestler the ability to compete with seasoned wrestlers in takedowns and positions and those that have no formal Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training will be able to compete at high levels of submissions using arm bars, key locks, chokes, and leg locks.
The Grappling classroom at Hammer Training & Fitness contains a large Resilite wrestling mat with cage walls incorporated into it to give the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) atmosphere. Multiple days of Wrestling and Grappling are available plus plenty of open mat time so students can practice techniques and positioning to become become the best they can be.
